Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She's best known as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. This film won an Oscar and received critical and commercial popularity. The other Oscar nominated film starring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous important projects in both the US as well as internationally.
